A contract has been lot for asphalting a further .portion ;;of the ' infant playground—some 600 yards-rwhich . will greatly add to the comfort of the you ' children during the coming - winter, -tree planting was attended to on Arbor -Day, mostly' hedge shrubs, which are doing well. .Old school, boys; who have volunteered for service are not being forgotten, and a very fine pair of; honour boards, •ff.efejted' by' Mlessrs. kMawson and 111 Arthur, on' which - will, appear the names of the'old boys with :tne colours, will be unveiled at : the: meeting by Mr. R. A. right, M.P. - The committee' look for a 1 large attendance of the residents, as a mark of appreciation and ln teres_t' in tho boys' who' have gone to mi o ™"'/ or Kmg and Empire. .The cleanliness of the school and surroundings: have -been"well attended to, and have been complimented on by the health-authorities;
