KARORI BOROUGH COUNCIL

The fortnightly meeting of the Karori Borough Council was presided over by the Mayor (Mr. B. G. H. Burn) last evening. The following were also present: Councillors W. C. Cooper,. L. F. Da vies, H. Faire, A. Hamilton, J. W. Henderson, T.-.W.. Lower, E. T. Pell, J. G.Raine and W. Sltegg. • Accounts amounting to £405 4s. were passed for payment.*

The secretary of the General Labourers' Union asked the council to favourably consider,/ the question of granting a war bonus of 10 per cent, to labourers employed by the borough.' The matter was referred to the Works Committee.

_ It was decided to ask the City Council to make'an optional stopping place for tram-oars' at the entrance to the Karori Golf Club's grounds.
