MASTERTON NOTES
The Masterton Employers' Aesociai tioh, following a custom established 'List .year, has decided that places of business m town shall be-closed for the Easter holidays from Thursday night until Tuesday morning. This will give employees a break of four clear days. ■ The Wairarapa Hospital and Charitably Aid Board has received from the Defence Department its first cheque for £700 in payment for .'the treatment of military patients at the Greytown Hospital. The Masterton Co-operative Dairy Company has decided to advance Is. 3d. per pound for butter-fat supplied during the month of April. ' No fresh cases of infantile paralysis have been reported..in the Wairarapa. The three 'cases under treatment are doing as well as can : bo expected. The Wairarapa Hospital Board has appointed a returned troopor as underwardsman at the Greytown Hospital.
