A stirring story of the rescuo of-the steamer Tara's castaways by a company . of'the .Camel .Corps is told. -The corps gave invaluable assistance, making blis* tering marches iii a burning sun and scorching sandstorms, and ending up .with the capture of the "water supply 'of the Senussi's main oamp. materially contributing to its evacuation. The Duke of Westminster's motor dash and pursuit followed. The account states that the, Tara's 'survivors suffered untold hardships.and weary months of captivity. They were hidden at Seai, in. the Libyan desert. An Arab guide : volunteered to direct the motor cars, and took them across illimitable stretches of bare sand, with not -a distinguishing mark along the countless miles for any but the desert dwoller. They reached the so-called hidden spring, and a party sle\v the guards and discovered the castaways, who were '"living skeletons.',' Their joy at seeing English faces beggars description. They were tenderly taken on board the cars and back to safety.
