ANZAC HOSPITAL BASE IN EUROPE
FBENOH LOCALITY OBJECTED TO. by TolecraDh—Prosa Association—Copyriirht (Bee. April 9, 6.5 p.m.) London, April 8. _ Tho arrangements t« make tho principal Australian and New Zealand hospital base in the South of France are likely to be immediately revciwed. The overseas medical staff pcints out that wounded men brought to Engla'nd in winter are now, it is pioposed, to go to the heat of the South of France. The Glimmer hospital arrangements for the Anzac9 in England had been completed regardless of expense, and wer© in excellent working ord°r, while the ladies of England were also giving valuable voluntary assistance, which would be lost if the men were sent to France.
It is probable that the decision will be reversed in favour of the wounded coming to Wimereux (in the North of France), and thence to England. Sir Thomas Mackenzio and the Australian: officials oppoao the movement, to send the wounded to France.
