PETONE MILLS DISPUTE
NO FINALITY REACHED,
No official communication regarding the progress of the negotiations between the parties to tho Petone "Woollen Mills dispute has been made. Apparently no settlement lias been reached, nor have the negotiations been definitely broken off. It is understood that the difference between the parties is not considerable. THE TERMS OFFERED. The terms offered by the Wellington Woollen Co. for a settlement of the deadlock at the Petone> Mills are as follow: —All male workers up to and including 48s. per week, and all female workers up to and including 275. 6d. per week, a war bonus of 10 per cent., as from February 1 last. All male workers above 48s. and female workers above 275. 6d„ a war bonus of's per cent, as from iFebruaiy 1, also a back bonus of 5 per cent, on tho six .months" earnings (including overtime) ended January 31, 1916. The war bonuses ore payable after each fourth pay-day, and the special bonus of 5 per cent, at the close of the company's financial year. ' Any employee leaving between bonus pay-days to receive'amount accrued at time of leaving.
