" The High - Commissioner reports:— ■ x London, April 6, 7.35 p.m. There was an air raid last night on the north-eastern counties, apparently carried out by three Zeppelins. The iirst made an attack about 9.10 p.m., and was driven off by anti-aircrafij, guns, after dropping five bombs, which caused no damage or casualties. Numerous observers state that this Zeppelin was struck by gunfire. The second raider made its appearance in another locality at 10.15 p.m.. No bombs were dropped. . Another raider delivered an. attack on a third locality. Several bombs were dropped, but only slight material damage was caused! The total number of bombs dropped was 24 explosive and 24 incendiary.
