' TENDERS are invited for the transport of East Indian Emigrants for a period of three years from the Ist October 1916, fromi tho ports of Calcutta and (or) Madras to Suva, Fiji, and for the transport of Indian, Immigrants returning from Suva, Fiji, to either of the above ports. Tenders will be considered for a period of threo years'as.jtforesajd, as also alternative tenders for a period, of two years or one year from tho Ist October, 1916. Tile vessels to be provided are to be steamers fitted for the conveyance of emigrants, in compliance with tho requirements of tho Indian. Emigration Act, XXI, 1883, and the rules mado 'under its -provisions; and the service is to be of such a charaoter as to permit of tlie conveyanco of 350Q emigrants in any one year, if required by the Government. ■ Tenders should bo submitteS for tho conveyance at a fixed rate of passage money for each emigrant of the ago of 10 years and over, and for each emigrant under tho age of 10 years. Tenders are to be addressed to the Colonial Secretary, Fiji, and will be receivwl up .to noon on the 30 th day of .June, 1916.
