NAVAL MISHAP
FORTY-FIVE SAILORS DROWNED By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright .London, March 31. There' was a distressing naval mishap during Tuesday's blizzard. Though the storm was at its height, many naval liberty men took to the boats and returned to their ships. All arrived safely, except a cutter belonging to H.M.S. Conquest, which a steam launch was towing. The hawser broke, and it is believed the cutter capsized. Fortyfive men wero drowned, of whom thirtyseven were married. ADMIRALTY REPORT. (Rec. April 2, 5.5 p.m.) " London, March 31. The Admiralty states that nothing was seen or heard of the Conquest's cutter till tho morning, when it was found cast up on shore many miles 1 away. All of tho crew of forty were drowred.
