MR. ASQUITH IN ROME

The school children and Government and private employees received a holiday. The TJnion Jack and Allied flags were displayed everywhere.' Viva Britain I": ■ ' ; \'.' . There was a great demonstration in front of the British Bmhassey, where Mr. Asquith bowed' his acknowledgements from tho balcony, and cried in Italian: "Viva lire! Viva Litalia." ! Later the King gave him an audience at the Quirinal, and Mr. Asquith visited Queen Margherita. ' .
