PLIMMERTON'S NEEDS
On Tuesday, in the local schoolroom, under the auspices of the Ratepayers' Association, was held a well-attended meeting of Plimmerton property-owners. The chairman of the association (Mr. F. Garner) outlined briefly the moro urgent needs of the locality, needs which were not receiving from the Hutt County. Council the consideration to which the association thinks they aro entitled. The meeting was very much in earnest, and to the accompaniment of brisk discussion, carried a series of resolutions calling upon the Council to deal promptly and efficiently with such matters as sanitation, street lighting, water supply, and dressing accommodation for sea bathers, Concerning the last-mentioned item, it is thought that the Railway Department might reasonably be asked to assist,' seeing that tho problem arises almost entirely out of the Department's holiday traffic. The Railway Department is also to be once moro asked to make Plimmerton a stopping place for the northbound New Plymouth express.
