Commandant also acknowledges the gift of a quantity of bulbs for the Hospital , garden from Mr. Blackhead Station, Hawke's'-Bay", " ; ';' .' ;,- The receipt of a consignment of/periodicals, book 6, old. linen, socks, and-jug covers, -kindly "forwarded, by the Ladies' 'Patriotic Society, New Plymouth, is also acknowledged; also three cases'of fruit and one case,"of tomatoes, kindly forwarded by the Soldiers' Comforts Guild, .Wellington. These have been applied for tho use of patients in'the Military Base Hospital. '•It has been reported ' • (states ' Featherston camp orders) that ; several-• instances have occurred where soldiers on leave travelling on the ferry steamers Have lost various sums of money. There is strong reason to suspect that this money has been stolen. Men on leave are earnestly warned to take strict procautions against leaving , their kits' or clothing in which they may have money or valuables lying about.The following temporary'' appointments have been approved by the Camp Commandant at Featherston— ■ Pte.
