'An Italian official communique states: —"We captured strong entrenchments at the Selleto Freikofeld-Cavallo Pass. "A sanguinary thirty hours' fight at Palpiccolo led to the temporary loss of our position, which we recaptured with the bayonet. Hundreds of the, enemy's dead were strewn on the ground. , , "Our. anti-aircraft guns on the Isonzo brought down three aeroplanes, Five of the airmen were taken prisoner. The commander of the squadron was killed." ' THE 'AUSTRIAN COMMUNIQUE. . v Amsterdam, March 28. _ An Austrian communique states:—"After severe fighting at the Gorizia Bridgehead, we captured the whole of the enemy's position on the front of the northern portion of the Padora Heights."
