A Russian official communique states: "There has been increased German aerial activity on the Dvinsk front. W 6 captured after a desperate struggle two lines of trenches west of .Postavy. "The enemy is obstinately resisting our offensive between the Narotch and Vischenevskoo Lakes." GERMANS CLAIM SUCCESSES. (Rec. March .'B, 9.35 p.m.) Berlin, March 27. A wi'roless message from Berlin states: —"The Russians, in unprecedented numbors of men and munitions, violently attacked General von Hindenburg's armies north-west of Jacobstadt. The Russians suffered.chormous losses. "Similar unsuccessful attacks were made at Postavy, fifty miles south of Dvinsk. "After strong attacks by portions of three Russian army corps south of Lake Narotch, the West Prussians' counter-attacked and recaptured tho artillery observation positions which were lost on February 28, capturing twentyone officers and 2140 men." ENEMY HURRYING UP REINFORCEMENTS. (Rec. March 28, 9.35 p.m.) Amsterdam, March 27. One huifdred and twelve trains passed through Liege, bound for Russia, in a single day.
