FREDERIC COLEMAN, WAR LECTURER
The 1 great,offensive on the .Western front makes the visit of Mr. Frederic Coleman of timely interest. The. far mous international journalist nvill deliver at the, Town Hall, commencing next Saturday evening, a series of lectures on the vital theatre of. the warFrance and Flanders., A unique collection of pictures will illustrate the lectures.. Tho interest of these may b? gauged from the fact that ; -'as well as being attached to the British Headquarters Staff, Mr. Coleman was the official photographer, and had opportunities for camera work that were accorded ho one else. His pictures aro described as vivid and vital scones cf the great war, marvellous for their lealism. Prior to-leaving for Australia, a special portfolio of photographs taken by Mr. Coleman was, at the request of Sir Edward Grey, compiled' 'or presentation to King George, who expressed,his admiration of Mr. Coleman's fine work. These pictures will be sl.own in conjunction with Mr. Coleman's lectures. The box plans, will be opened at the Bristol on Thursday morning.
