Charles Edmoliston Irfsash, charged with being an incorrigible rogue, was remanded -until - ApriL-1 in order that ay report might be obtained as to his mental condition. On a charge of stealing two rings, valued' at £8, from the Hotel Arcadia, a young woman named Beatrice Brown was convicted and ordered to come up' for sentence when called upon. Mr. 11. P. O'Leavy appeared for the accused. Andrew "Williamson pleuded guilty to a charge of insobriety, and was lined £3, with the option of fourteen days imprisonment.

Before Mr. W. Coy.' J.P., at the Mount Cook Police Station 011 Saturday morning, William Zanders was fined ]os. for being found in a state of drunkenness.
