THE QUESTION OP RELIEF A TEN MONTHS' ENFORCED I DRIFT. Last evening the Prime Minister (Hon. W. P. Massey) received the following message from the Shackleton expedition ship Aurora: — '"'Shackleton expedition ship Aurora proceeding to Port Chalmers in. a disabled condition. Enforced ten months' drift in ice from winter quarters. Please accept commander's respects to yourself and the people of New Zealand. —Stenhouse." The Prime Minister sent a message to the effect that he regretted that the ship was. disabled, and that, all 011. board could be sure of a warm welcome in New Zealand.
