ROPE OF CAPTIVE BALLOON > , _ BREAKS. By Telegraph—PreEs As6ociation-Oopyrighl Paris, March 22. The f ope of a captive balloon, wlien at a height of 11,500 ft. on the French front, broke. The occupant used the parachute, which did not open until after a drop of 150 ft. It' then planed gently aud the balloonist alighted 500 yards outside the German trenches and returned to the French lines.
