DOUBLE INCOME TAX
NEW ARRANGEMENTS RUMOURED,
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrighl London. March 22.
Tlie "Manchester Guardian's" London correspondent says there is a probability of new arrangements regarding double income tax being announced in' the Budget, tho Treasury holding tho view that there is nothing inequitable in a person who lives in one and derives income from another country paving tho tax in both.
The correspondent understands that probably there will bo a reciprocal arrangement whereby profits earned 'in the Dominions and received by residents m the Motherland will bo charged only with the difference between tho Imperial tax and that levied in the Do; minions.
The Income Tax Association is' not aware if the concession announced by tho "Manchester Guardian" is accurate, but if so it considers it is due to its agitation. While the concession is not all tho association is asking for, it will bu a considerable relief in some cases.
