Great activity appears from the cablegrams to prevail on the Russian front at present. Infantry actions are reported all along the line, while to the extreme 'nor th the Russians have exerted a"push" that has filled the Hun Press with uneasiness; to the south the Russian advance is reported to have forced the abandonment of Czernowitz (the capital of Bukowina), and there is also a report that the Russians have crossed the Dniester. Off Kali Akra (northeast of Varna) the Russian warships.have sent a 7000-ton food supply steamer and several food supply sailing vessels to the bottom. In the West, the German fiasco is becoming daily more apparent, , and the suspicion that all is not well is permeating the public mind in Germany. From indications in the region round-about Verdun tile enemy may yet attempt another blow in the hope of securing sufficient success bolster up their big war loan.
