MASTERTON SESSIONS
By Telegraph.—(Special Correspondent.) Masterton, March 20. The Supreme Court opened here today before Mr. Justice Chapman, who congratulated the district upon the small criminal calendar.
An elderly mail named Georgo Palmer, who pleaded guilty to_ a charge of indecent assault on a six-year-old child, at Carterton, in January, was sentenced to five years' hard labour, His Honour remarking that accused was not lit to be at large. MAXIMUM PENALTY
By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, March 20. John Graham, found guilty of incest on a second trial, was sentenced to ten years' hard labour —the maximum penalty.. SENTENCED FOR. FORGERY.
