The following examination' results in the Mines Department are announced:— Coal-mines Act (first-class): Partial pass—W. Orowe, Ngakawau (1). . Coal-minos Act (second-class): Passed—James Thomson, Nightcaps; W. E. G. Hewitsoii, Burnett's Face; '■> V. Morganty, Ngakawo.u. Partial pass— W. C. Davies, Huntly (2), Mining Act (iirst-class): Passed—E. Collier, Reefton; J. O'Shea, Reefton. Partial Pass—C. Kingsford, Waihi (6). Second-class: Partial pass—G. Tilsley, Thames.
Battery superintendents: Passed—J. Williams, Reefton. Partial pass—E. D. White, Karangahake. Dredge-masters; J. Kitto, Lowbura Ferry.
