OPPOSITION TO A RECENT ORDER-IN-COUNCIL. ; ' One of th'e largest and most * representative .meetings of labour yet hold in Wellington took plaoo in the Trades Hall last evening, when was " considered tho recent Order-in-Council issued by the Government for the suppression of . certain provisions of the Industrial Conciliation an.d Arbitration Aict in respect to awardS and agreements. The secretary (Mr. L. M. A. Rearden) re-"ported-that all, tho centres in New Zealand were'in agreement in opposing this measure, and it was decided that a delegation' representative of all labour bodies in New Zealand should wait upon tho Prime Minister (Mr. Massey) ait an early date to lay ; before ,him strong reasons' for ( the' repeal of tho Order-in-Gouneil.
