AGE LIMIT FOR OFFICERS

Melbourne, March 16. District orders have been issued that officers over the age of forty-five are ineligible for service in the Expeditionary Forces, unless under ' exceptional circumstances. SUCCESTED WEALTH CENSUS. AND THE IMMEDIATE EFFECTS. Melbourne, March 16. The Hon. W. G. Higgs, Federal Treasurer, stated that the suggested wealth census in New South Wales had resulted in the withdrawal from the Savings Bank of £750,000. FARMS FOR SOLDIERS. Sydney, March 16. Mr. W. G. Ashford, Minister of Lands, states that there are 2100. farms, with a total area of two million acres, available for returned soldiers. OIL CARCOES. .WHARF WORKERS' DECISION.
