AWARDS APPROVED.

At a meeting of the Royal Life-Saving Society, the following awards were approved

Proficiency and Elementary Certificates:—William A. Montgomery, John Evan'S. Parry, Leslie M. Gunn, Herbert S., Port;, Gavin F. Gavin —all of Banks's College. Wellington (in structor, Mr. J. A. Duffy). Bronze Medallions—William A. Montgomery, Alister H. v Macandrew, F. B. Chalmers, diaries Athya, Albert D. Watts—all of Banks's College, Wellington. I. C. K. Wintringham, John H. Morrison. B. J. S / Mitchell. F. T. Bull, William M. Nairn, James Letcher, F. I'.; Ward, Harold B. Simmonds, Walter Coonibridge, R. V. Bythell—all of Blenheim sub-centre (Mr. P. G. Bacon, instructor). Mr. Bacon was awarded the Hon. Instructor's Certificate.

Arrangements were made for tho con. cluct of examinations of four city classes.

The secrotary (Mr< Collier) ropprtod tliat he had received a'cliequo for £50 from the T. G. Macarthy Trust, and had allocated the sum of £20 as the Wellington Centre's portion ,of the Humane .Grant for the year 1916. On tile motion of the secretary a hearty vote of thanks was accorded tlio executors of the I'. G. Macarthy Trust.
