TO-DAY'S WELCOME TO THE SOLDIERS ARRANGEMENTS OUTLINED The Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) has licon advised that there are 28 Wellington men among the sick and convalescent soldiers who have returned from Egypt by the Tahiti, and will arrive horo this morning. The Auckland contingent of the Tar hiti's complement will be 6ent on by the midday express. In addition to these men. there will bo 129 soldiers arriving here this morning from England by the Arawa. _ These, as well as tho Tahiti's men, will be accorded a Tecepr tion at the Town Hall at 2.30 o'clock this afternoon. The Mayor has beon advised that the Prime Minister (Hon. W. IVMaesey), Sir Joseph Ward', and possibly the Hoii. James Allen will attend and .speak at the'function. The returned soldiers now in Wellington will muster at the club rooms, Lambton Quay, ut 2 p.m., and will march to the Town Hall to form a guard of honour at the reception of tho soldiers returning by the Arawa and Tahiti; * v
Tho route taken by the returning men to the reception at the Town Hall will bo via Jervois Quay. TJie motor reserve and owners of private cars will help to bring the men from the ships to the Town Hall. The invited speakers at the reception are the Prime' Minister (the Right Hon. "W. F. Massey), Sir Joseph Ward, and Colonel Allen (Minister of Defence). TAHITI MEN'S RECEPTION AT I)WEDIN. By Telegraph—Press Association, Dunedln, March 15. The Tahiti's men arrived in Dunedin at 10.30, and were entertained at lunoh and given a civic reception. The northern contingent left by special train at 11.53, there being 50 for Auckland, 54 for Wellington, and 46* for Canterbury. One hundred and four men cross by ferry steamer to-night. The southern men leave by the 4.20 p.m. express.
