FOR DISCHARGED SOLDIERS
SUITABLE WORK MUST BE FOUND,
The Discharged Soldiers' Information Department,-Mr. J. R. Samson, -offi-cer-in-oharge, Aitken Street, is desirous of obtaining employment for a number of returned ' soldiers. ■ The kind of work required includes messengers, lift men,_ storemen, clerks, light : labourers, drivers, .etc. The Department desires to bring under the notice of employers and citizens generally; the duty of doing their utmost to assist in finding 'suitable employment- for our returned men. Many have already been placed in Government and municipal employ, but with the increasing numbers who are being discharged from the forces daily on the termination of surgical and-medical treatment, it is manifest that this source of employment' will soon be exhausted. Tno Department cannot possibly achieve success without the wholesouled assistance j>{ all those who ;.re able to give or influence employment. Employers generally will greatly assist the Department if they will help to get suitable occupation for discharged soldiers, and if tljey will keep the Department regularly apprised of any vacancies arising in which returned soldiers could be employed. -
