-0 NO FURTHER, DEyELOEMBNTS. Nothing further can he said about the question at issue between the Government and. the railwaymen regarding wages except that the Government has forwarded' a communication, tho character of which is not yet: known, to the president of tho A.S.R.S. and the president 6f the Locomotive Men's Union. The Prime Minister yesterday declined to say, anything at all abuit tho communication made by the Government. . The secretary of the A.S.R.S. has declared that he has not received it yet, but no doubt this is due to the fact that it has been" sent to tho president of his society. It will leach him in due course. In the meantime-there will be no developments until the Government's proposals, if indeed tho "communication" (the word which Mr. Massoy used always in refeiving 10 tho letter), contains anything that can bo termed proposals, have been considered by fctip yepiosGiit-ativeß of the ruilwayDjpn.
