TO-DAY'S MATCHES. Tlio Management Committeo of tho Wellington Cricket Association lias decided to award Petone a three-point win for the junior match with Wellington College, which was not finished owing to College boys being absent at tho Cadet parade. In the junior grade, should Petonp and Boys' Instituto lie equal, the final match will bo played on tho Basin Reserve. Following are the fixtures for today's cricket matches: — Senior Grade. East v. Pet-one, Basin Reserve No. 1; North v. Central, Basin Reserve No. 2; Old Boys v. Trentham, Basin Reservu N'o. 3;' University v. Hutt, Hutt. The following team will _ represent Hutt (seniors) against Victoria College: Aklersley, Balks, Ball, Davis, Glennie, Hughes, Jones, Judd, Mabey, Patton, and Stiles. Tho following will represent University: Birch, Burns, Duncan, Foster, ' Fc'nton, George, M'Kvedy, White, Ward, Smith, and another. ; Tho team to represent. Hutt Seniors • i*. Junior Association. The only fixture for Saturday next will be St. Anne's v. Harbour Board, at Wakefield Park, Warehousemen's Association. ■ Occidental v. A. E. Kcrnot, Kelburn Park; Whitcombe and Tombs v. N.Z. Railways, Anderson Park. Boys' League. Senior Grade:—St. David's v. Empire, Anderson Park; 21 Cadets y. Karori; Hutt, a bye. Considerable interest attaches to the first two fixturos. Central's defeat of | tho East team last Saturday has con-, siderably reduced the big lead which the latter team possessed until then. The points scored b ythe leading teams are now as follow: —East, 14; Central, 10 ; Petone, 7; North, 2. As points are added a win and deducted for a loss, it will bo seen that with two matches still to be played the -position, as far as East, Central, and Petone are concerned, is very open. Much will depend on the play of the next two Saturdays. Following are the umpires chosen for the senior cricket matches' to-day and tho following Saturday:—East v. Petone, No. 1 Basin Resorve, Messrs. M'Kenzio and Pickering; North v. Central, No. 2 Basin Reserve, Messrs. Gardiner and Rodgers; Old Boys v. Trentham, No. 3, Basin -Reserve, Messrs. Bock and Webb; University v. Hutt, at Hutt, Mr. Jennes and another.
