HUTT PARK COMMITTEE
* — A meeting of the Hutt Park Committee was held last evening, at Pctone, there being present Mr. J: >V. M'Ewan (chairman) and Messrs. J. List, W. Hobbs, J. Brassel, and M. J. Hedging. It was decided to grant the! National Reserve permission to hold an encampment on the Park, provided any damage was made good. The Waiwetu Golf Club stated that in accordance with the terms of its lease the club was entitled to the services of the caretaker of the Park one day and a half in each week. It was decided to instruct the caretaker to do his best to comply with the club's wishes. Permission was granted the Petone Working-Men's Club to hold their annual picnic on the ; ground on March 11. ' • 'The Wellington Trotting' Club applied for permission to Vemovo an old building at present situated at the end of the saddling paddock, with the object of re-crecting a building to he used as a ladies' cloakroom. The request was granted. _ The chairman and secretary were authorised to have a Bill drawn up and presented to Parliament to remit tho rates on Hutt; Park.
