MINIATURE RIFLE-SHOOTING
■ « Members of the Brooklyn unit of the National .Ucserve held the second competition on Saturday, at their miniature rifle range, for the Holcroi't Challenge ohield. The attendance was largo, and great_ interest was taken in the event. As will be seen from the totals the shooting was very close, but Corporal Richardson's team managed to secure the trophy with a total of -53, only two points ahead of_ Sergeant Baldwin's hien. Jlr, Webb (57) was the highest individual scorer. Sergt.-Major W. A. Ramsay ofliciated as range officer. Tho following are the scores:— No. 1 Section (Scrgt. W. A. Baldwin)— Hobaon la, M'Aulay -17, Baldwin 42, Ab19, Jackson 43, Webb 57; total, 251. No. 2 Section (Corpl. Muleahy)—Crabtree 17, Muleahy 37, H. Parkin 47, W. I'arkiu 4!), Alabaster 52, Worst'old 4ii; total, 24-1. No. 3 Section (Corpl. Kichardson)—Dickson '.55, JlonUhoiise 51, If. Allen 111!, Richurdsou 40, Hunt 32, Clark 50; total, 253: No. 4 Section (Corpl. Adams)— Adam; 48, Cooper 35, Kandell 51, Mackay 2il, Buckle 17, Cartwright 31); total, 249.
