WELLINGTON SOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP. The fourth round of tlie tourney now in progress to decide the championship of the Wellington South Chess Club was contested on Thursday evening, when Allen won from Harper, Purchas from Berry,„ Clark from Armstrong, and Douglas from Thompson. There are three moro rounds to bo played, and four games in arrear also require to be accounted for. Mr. Purchas is leading, with four clear wins, closely followed by Messrs l . Clark, Douglas, and Allen. An interesting finish may be looked for, Mr. Purchas having yet to meet Messrs. Allen, Thompson, and Clark.
