4 SETTING FlItE TO A SCHOOLHOUSE By Telegraph—Preas Association. Oannevirke, March I. Before Mr. S. E. M'Carthy, Thomas Will. Haines and Olive Theresa Haines, ins wife were charged with wilfully setting firo to the Mangatoro Sclioolhouse on December 12 last. The latter was also charged with making a false declaration concerning the. losses by fire and by false pretences attempting to obtain the insurance money. The lflisbaud was charged with abetting her. They were committed for trial, bail being allowed.
