A CAUTION FROM EGYPT
* APPEALS FOR CABLED REMITTANCES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, February 29. A cable message has been received from Mr. W. G. Jamieson, tho chairman of the New Zealand National Coniliiittco of the Y.M.C.A., now iu Egypt, as follows:— "Arrangements'have been made ' to specialise on New Zealand inquiries for New Zealand and others; get tho Press Association to discourage tjie sending of money to soldiers." With regard to the. latter part of the message, it is thought to refer to bogus applications for money, which .have been occasionally made to parents all over New Zealand. Mr. Jamieson's appeal has probably been made to prevent people in the' Dominion from being victimised.
