Also started: 4 Rotomanuka, scr.; 8 Ngaiora, ssec,; 5 Tattles, 7sec.; 7 Colleen Bawn, lOscc.; C Tim Doolan; 9 Blackford, losec. Ardatli led past the stand from Tim Doolan, Ngaiora, and Nancy Patch. Ngaiora was in front of Ardatli and Nancy Patch going down the back, and the same order was preserved passing Hie stand. Nancy Patch then took the lead, and, going on, won easily by eight lengths from Master Theckla. Ardatli was two lengths away. Tim Doolan ran fourth'. Time, smin. Osec. BAT,LANCE HANDICAP. Two miles. —1 Monsoon, llsec. (Pringle), 1; 7 Bio Grande, lliscc., 2; fi Paddy Lynd, llsec., 3. Also. started: 3 Todd Bells, scr.; 4 Hova, 2sec.; 2 Genial, lGsec.; 5 Lady .Patricia, 16sec. Rio Grando led Monsoon over the first circuit and past the stand, but broke repeatedly, and Monsoon took command. Rio Grande came again to the leader, but again got into the air. Monsoon won by two lengths from Bio Grande, with Paddy Lynd five lengths away, and Hova and Todd Bells next. Time, smiu. 12 '(-ssec. Rio Grande was disqualified for galloping, and second place was awarded Paddy Lynd.
