During the past three months the municipal; golf links at Berhampore have been well patronised. The membership of the men's club is increasing weekly, and a club for ladies is in course of formation. The links are in fine order and are very popular with the soldiers,

The Municipal Club has commenced its competitive season. 'On Saturday, February 12, an -18-hole stroke competition for a prize presented by Mr. Hollis was played. 'Die following were the best scores: —L. Pirani, 105-24—81 (winner); J. T. Bowness, 106-24—82; J. TSvomey, 94—8—86; A. Ropers, 100-14-86. •

On Saturday, February 19, the monthly button stroke competition over !) holes was played. Best scores: Bowncss, 63-12—41; J. Twomey, 48-4 —44; ID. J. Howse, 57-12 —45; A. Bogers, 537—46. The boK.y of the 9 holes is 39.
