MAGISTRATE'S COURT
_ Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., presided m tlioMagistrate's Court yesterday. For insobriety Peter Tulloch was lined 10s., Walter Hutcliings 10s., Tlios. Troy £1, and Peter Mulcahy £1. Catherine Mary Smith, alias Kitty Andrews', was convicted of having used obscene language in Dixon Street, and on account of her intemperate habits, was sent to Pakatoa for a year. For disobedience of- maintenance orders, Charles Newell was sentenced to ten days' imprisonment, Albert Edward Mosey to/two months' imprisonment, Archibald Robertson to three days' imprisonment, and Percy Wild to twelve days' imprisonment. The warrants against the defendants will Ue suspended if. certain payments are made. An affiliation order involving weekly payments or 7s. Gd. was made against Bertram Stephen Lambert. James Landers pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing a revolver, valued at £1 10s.) the property of James Hall. He will bo sentenced on Friday.
