Mr. Justice Cooper gave judgment i,n regard to tho Gisborno Borough Council proposal to borrow £50,000 from tho Auckland Patriotic Association. Tho borough "received authority from tlio ratepayers to raise a loan to be repaid in thirty 3;earsi _ The Auckland Patriotic Association is willing to lend that amount, but must be repaid in ten years. His Honour decided that the borough council had no power to negotiate for a loan to be repaid in less than thirty years.
