Dunedin, February 25. ,In tho Supreme Court to-day, Mr. Justice Sim heard the appeal of Ales. Hain, manager of the United Friendly Societies' _ Dispensary at Oamaru, against his conviction in the Lower Court for selling a bottle of MolenJo wine'for. medical purposes. The question raised by appeal was whether in a No-License' district a chemist was entitled to sell liquor for medical purposes. -Mr. Bartholomew, S.M., hold iliat the appellant had been guilty of offence within the meaning of Section 147 of the Licensing Act. The Judge .dismissed the appeal.
