•The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at' their "Upper Hutt Eale held yesterday they offered, fl- large yarding of sheep and cattle. Oattle sold ■well, but sheep -were somewhat neglected, and a few sales were made. The following are some of the prices obtained: Fat ewes and wethers, 206. fid.; shorn lambs, lis. ;• mixed age ewes, 13s. to 145.; woolly ■ rape lambs, ,15s. 6d.; cull lambs, 6s. 2d. ; aged.ram, 14s. to 245.; springing heifers, to £11 76. 6d.; springing cows, £8 ss„ £14 105.,' to £14 155.; fat cows, £3 to £12 9a.; three to three and a half-year forward steers, to £11, 55.; mixed, weaners, 19s. - FEILDIXG SHEEP PAIR. Store ewes were in very good condition, and the demand was exceedingly brisk.
The highest price "was 37b. 6d; for a pen of two and four-toothe, sold od behalf of Mr. 0. A. J. Levett. Most of the pens fctchcd over 30s.
