LIVE STOCK SALES.

■Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report, having held a most successful .sale in their Pahautanui yards on Monday. The sheep came forward'well above advertised ■numbers, 'the . total yarding being 3450. Under spirited competition they succeeded in selling under the hammer all lots offered, with the exception 'of one small pen of owes. They had also a fair yarding of cattle, and practically 1 every line changed hands at. prices, satisfactory to wnuors. We disposed of the bulk of the entry of sliecp under the hammer. The cattle met with rather a dragging sale.
