■Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report, having held a most successful .sale in their Pahautanui yards on Monday. The sheep came forward'well above advertised ■numbers, 'the . total yarding being 3450. Under spirited competition they succeeded in selling under the hammer all lots offered, with the exception 'of one small pen of owes. They had also a fair yarding of cattle, and practically 1 every line changed hands at. prices, satisfactory to wnuors. The principal sales were, as under:-150 full-niouth ewes, 235. 6d.; failing-mouth ewes, .17s. to 18s. 6a. ; six-tooth to -f.ro.. ewes .(small), m •!«.:■ «or» ■ i-we». las. 6d. to Ws. Dalgety and Co.vIM., offered a heavy yarding of both. sheep and cattle. The sheep met a good market, but the catttle were dull of sale. ly Levin, rale on "Wednesday, when they offered a large entry of both sheep and cattle. The sheep met with rather a good sale, and competition was animated throughout. We disposed of the bulk of the entry of sliecp under the hammer. The cattle met with rather a dragging sale. The prices realised were an follow:—A line of four-tooth to four-year ewes sold on account of \V. G. Adkin, 25.-. kl.\ four and five-year ewes, shorn, 12s. 2d., 12s. 6d., to 19s. id.; shorn lambs, 10$. 9d.. 10s. lid.. 12a 6(1., 12s. lCd., to lis.; woolly lamos, 13s. sa. to 13s. Mid.; 6inall lambs, 75.: fat and forward wethers, 245.
