NOT ENOUGH SHIPS

LITTLE DANGER OF DEADLOCK. The scarcity of shipping for our export trade, especially for the coming three months, is causing some concern among exporters. "Shipping is' scarce undoubtedly, but bo far as I can tell there should be no serious difficulties this season,-' said the Prime Minister, referring to the subject yesterday. "I am in frequent' communication with the Board of Trade with tho objeot of getting more ships out here as soon as possible. But I think that with our additional storage space—we have storage capacity for a million carcasses more than lost year— and with the added insulated space on some of the ships, wo , should getj through the season for frozen meat without any serious congestion. I do not suggest, of course, that we could' not do with a few more ships, but just now ships aro not easy to obtain."
