9 POLICE PARTY FAIL TO ARREST HIM. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auokland, February 21. The "Star's" correspondent telegraphs that a polic.e party of three encountered Rua and a number of his bodyguard in the Urewera. Rua complained bitterly that tho police sought to him for an offenbo in respect of which he had already served a sentence. He pulled off his coat, saying, "Take me if you can." There was cvidonce that his followers were aimed, and tho police withdrew.
