FATAL FIRE
ELDERLY WOMAN INCINERATED.

Waihi, February 21. _ A -two-story boardinghousc, containing about forty rooms, at Karangahake, seven miles from Waihi, was totally destroyed by fire at 3 o'clock on Sunday morning, resulting in an -elderly -woman named Dawson being burned to death. I-n-o other occupants Slevin and Griffin miraculously escaped after being badly turned. '
