At a meeting of combined patriotic committees to-niglit the' suggestions made by Colonel Rhodes were discussed, and it was decided to urge tie Government to appoint' a civilian committee at the front to receive gifts, cashj etc., from central committees in New Zealand, and supervise their distribution to the men in the firing-line.
