February 3, 5.5 p.m.) London, February 2. • The War Office has issued the following reports from the commanders in the East and West African operations: "General Smith-Dorrien reports that the branch line from Voi, cn the •Uganda Railway, has reached Sevegeti, which the British captured oil January 24: The enemy's activities have sensibly diminished." "The commanders of the West African operations report successful minor Anglo-French operations at Elabe, Eboneowa, Mafub, Nlian, and Ngat. The onemy lost numbers of killed _or captured. Many fully-armed natives are deserting to the Allies. "In the Cameroons, the coast lino has been cleared of the enemy. -It is reported that seven hundred Germans are encamped on the Spanish frontier."
