AUCKLAND GOLD RETURNS. Auckland, February 1. The gold returns from the mines in the Auckland Province for the year 1915 show that the value of tho bullion won was £782,032, showing a decrease of £131,920, compared with the previous year. Of the total yield, the Ohinemuri field contributed £752,836. UNDAUNTED G.M. COMPANY. The manager of the Undaunted Gold Mining Co., Ltd., Matakanui, reports that he has bottomed in the twenty-acre paddock at 80ft., gold showing through fully 30ft. of stripping. Sample of gold ou bottom is good. THE HAURAKI REEFS. LTD. Tho mine manager or tlie Hauraki Reefs reports as follows:—During the past week stoping over the back of No. 3 level has been in hand. About 101b. picked stono was obtained from good general dirt. We are opening up tlie stopes on E side of main rise adjoining the present stopes. These stopes were worked previous to the mine closing down, and have not been ■worked since reopening tile* mine. While breaking away from the main rise the So. 2 face is stopped. The No. 3 face continues opening up well. In the Wynyardton face -we have struck the bottom of an old winze, and a good quantity of rock has to be shifted before we can get ahead.
