PENNANT MATCHES RESUMED. Perfect weather prevailed on Saturday al'fcenioon, when every green in tho pity had its quota of bowlers, who, having nothing else to complain of, growled at the heat. After the Christmas recess, sacred to tournaments, tho pennant matches were resumed, with interesting results. The most notable event was the downfall of Victoria, hitherto unbeaten, at the hands of Wellington, which club is still one win behind Newtown, Victoria, and I'etone.
