IS IT CRUELTY? By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, January 27. At the annual meeting of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to-day, a disoussion took placo regarding the ear-twitch for racehorses. It was stated that a contrivance had been, used on Jingle, the winner of tho Dunedin Cup at Forbury Park trots this afternoon! The society decided that on Saturday the trots should be visited by the Inspector and an honorary surgeon, with a view to seeing whether tlie instrument was cruel or otherwise.
