PATRIOTIC EXHIBITION
The secretary of tho British Commercial and Industrial Patriotic Exhibition (Mr. Arthur l'etherick) announces that with tho exception of two stalls the available floor space lias been taken up. Exhibitors arc of the opinion that a souvenir will provo of more lasting benefit to tho public than the issue of the usual catalogue, aaid have granted Messrs. Gordon and Gotch Proprietary, Ltd., the right to prepare an illustrated and descriptive souvenir of the exhibition. The General Manager for Railways (Mr. B. H. Hiley) has replied to a request that railway facilities be granted to country patrons visiting the Exhibition, and will allow school children and their teachers to travel in parties at school party rates. Week-end tickcts will bo available for the opening ceremony on the afternoon of Saturday, February 19, and visitors can remain in town until Monday night, February 21. The week-end ticket will also bo available for tho closing ceremony on February 26. At a meeting of the Exhibition Committee, to be held on Tuesday evening next, a full programme of entertainment will be drawn up, and other means discussed having for their object the attraction of the putJio to this opportunity of learning what goods to buy and how to buy, that the enemy may not be permitted to enjoy the benefits oftrado with this Dominion in tho futuro as has been the case in the past.
